There You Were!

I was feeling kind of sad and blue today
In need of a friend in a very worst way

Thinking that it might cheer me up, I got on my computer
Sure enough, whenever I started it up, there you were!

Right there in my email inbox
Was an email from you I got

Sent to me by you from the Cards For Fun website telling me
If I clicked on this link it would then direct and take me to see

The card you'd made up and then sent
So I clicked on the link and off I went

To the Cards For Fun website to see what you had to say
You'd written up for me on one of their Cards For Today

It made my day when I read what it said
It lifted off of me this heavy ton of lead

That had been causing me to feel sad and blue
By you sending me that card made up by you!

Sad and blue, ton of lead was replaced with a smile
When I read the card you sent me across the miles

That separate us many miles far apart
I know you wrote it from your heart

So I "Thank You" for putting my blue day to an end
When you made me the card and then clicked send

Sending me your best wishes ...
With lots of hugs and kisses ...
