"The Love Of A Simple Mother"

(From A Mother To A Troubled Daughter)

In the things your life entailed
Which having a part of I failed

That I look back on now
I wish that I somehow

Could've changed for you
But in reality I can't undo

This comes from my heart;
I am so sorry for my part

In how things for you have worked out
But my love for you was never in doubt

And if only I could have
What all I should have

Seen back then
In their end ...

I wish I could've been like a Fairy Godmother
Instead of me being simply just your mother

I'd given to you, if only I could've waved a magic wand;
All of the things I know of which you are so deeply fond

I would all of the hurt you have been through erase
And all of your bad memories away I would chase

You would live happily ever after,
In days filled with only laughter.

You'd never know the pain,
Of troubled days of rain;

Only days of sunshine you'd see
And if it had been left up to me

Prince Charming would have ridden up and swept
You up off your feet and in a castle you he'd kept

Your wants and desires he'd of fulfilled,
With all of his love and his golden till.

You would be dressed up in beautiful gowns,
With your head adorned in jeweled crowns.

You would live your life being the belle of the ball;
No evil spell could a wicked witch upon you befall,

Because each of her evil spells;
I would, because I could dispel.

As in story books oft is told,
Everything nice twice fold;

I would give gladly to you,
To have your life through.

No sad tears ...
Nor no fears ...

Would you ever know or shed.
Your life would be a rose bed,

Made up of the beauty of a rose
When its petals open to expose;

All the beauty of the world
Seen when it's all unfurled

When the petals of the rose opens up wide,
To expose life's beauty deep down inside.

If only I could wave a magic wand,
All the things which you are fond;

Would appear right before you,
But sadly I must come true ...

I'm not a Fairy Godmother,
I am just simply a mother;

Who loves and breathes you
With every breath through

My whole and entire being,
Wishing I were all seeing;

And with just a whisk and a wave,
Of a magic wand I could've saved;

You from all of the sorrows
Life takes from as borrows,

Taken away from your happiness;
In your quest to life best finesse.

Gladly I have given life to you,
But sadly after that it's up to;

The wand waves from others ...
Than just a simple mothers ...

Who can't give you anything other,
Than the love of a simple mother.

With all my love for a beloved daughter
This was sent from your simple mother

Who will for always be here for you
No matter what you are going thru
