Show Your Pride On Memorial Day!
Memorial Day on May 28th is set aside
For you to show all soldiers your pride
For those who did and still do respond to the call
Remember our Veteran's and those who gave all
Tell American soldiers "Thank You!"
For all they have done and still do!
Have A Happy Memorial Day!
My Tribute To Our Soldiers ...
"When I Became A Soldier"©
I said I would serve American's proud
And endangered strangers I'd shroud
Underneath the same blanket of the free
Which covers American's from sea to sea
So as a soldier I hid the tears
And I put behind all my fears
Whenever the role call came
When they called my name
Said it was my time to help preserve
Freedom, as it was my time to serve
For my country in a war ...
In another country far ...
Away from my own home place
I left behind me all of the faces
Of those whom I loved and cared for
My job was to go help fight in a war
For strangers whom were indeed
In need, not taking me any heed
To antagonistic dangers of terrorist's anger
Wrath brought upon endangered strangers
Which I also would be up against too
My call is to do whatever I must do
To protect them to allow
Their freedom somehow
To take hold and work in their country
Just as it works in my country for me
I'm a courier of freedom and peace
I'm a soldier that marches beneath
A different outline overhead in the sky
Underneath which anytime I might die
Facing the same dangers ...
And the same endangers ...
In a country of strangers ...
Where terroristic angers ...
Are forced on it and using a terrorist way
Threaten the lives of its people everyday
As a soldier the realistic dangers I chose
Was to fight terroristic dangers imposed
Wherever that its danger threatens freedom
I took an oath knowing the call might come
I said I would serve American's proud
And endangered strangers I'd shroud
Underneath the same blanket of the free
Which covers American's from sea to sea
