"His Father Needs Him Here"
Tonight when I laid my grand baby down to sleep
I prayed to The Lord; would You his soul to keep
If it was in His bid my grand baby take
In the nighttime before he did awake
Then after I spoke those words to Him
I supposed what was meant of them
I knew it meant forever he'd be at peace with his Father
In His heaven up above kept in His love but even farther
It meant I'd have to face the next morn
With his life gone, and mine in mourn
And upon my sons face would be worn
The devastation of his baby away torn
So I asked God would He
Take instead of him, me
He is an innocent child
Sweet, meek and mild
He is full of goodness and of charm
And doesn't bear any kind of harm
To anything nor to anyone ...
But he's special to someone
He has a tender pure heart of gold
And he boldly loves those us of old
As being a child he loves everyone
He lays no judgment upon no one
And he is much too innocent
To have a need for to repent
Of any sins he might have done
For he is not guilty of even one
So would you watch over him Father
For the sake of me his grandmother
Lord would you do that just for me
So again in the morn life he'll see?
For as I see it, it's much too soon for him to go
So I am asking You to let him stay here below
He is an innocent child
Sweet, meek and mild
So if it's in Your bid a life take
In the night before we awake
Lord God take instead of his, mine
As he is the light and the sunshine
To someone that I hold dear ...
"His Father Needs Him Here"

Dear Heavenly Father, Praises be raised to You
For understanding what I've asked of You to do
In "A Mothers Grandmothers Prayer"
Amen ...
